We’re proud to share that two teams from QVT Media have emerged as National Champions in the just-concluded Young Lions 2025 competition, hosted by the Young Professionals Academy at the Pitcher Festival.
Our young creatives competed in the Media and Film categories, alongside some of the most promising talent in the Nigerian marketing and advertising landscape. After an intense, insight-driven, and highly competitive process, they were selected to represent Nigeria on the global stage, at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, set to hold in June 2025.
This qualification is not just a celebration of talent; it’s a signal of what’s possible when young Nigerian minds are given the opportunity to create, compete, and thrive on merit.

What is the Young Lions Competition?
The Young Lions Competitions are part of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, one of the most prestigious platforms in global advertising and communications.
Each year, under-30 professionals across categories like Film, Media, Print, PR, Design, Digital, and more compete nationally to earn a spot at the global competition. Only national champions are invited to the final round in Cannes.
Why This Matters for QVT Media, and for Nigeria
This recognition goes beyond competition. It reinforces QVT Media’s core belief — that strategy, creativity, and youth-driven energy can shape narratives, challenge conventions, and deliver business impact.
It also affirms our commitment to nurturing homegrown talent, especially as an independent Nigerian agency challenging category norms in media, storytelling, and innovation.
By qualifying for Cannes, QVT Media:
- Earns global industry credibility as a hub for emerging African creativity
- Gains access to cross-market creative dialogue and benchmarking
- Demonstrates our readiness to drive impactful communication across borders
- Deepens our role in championing young professionals and future leaders
We see this as a step forward, not just for our agency, but for what Nigerian representation in global creativity can and should look like.
